Competencies this week: 103 - Demonstrate research and organizational skills. 203 - Demonstrate safe practices when using and maintaining hand tools. 505 - Demonstrate basic use of a vector-based drawing program (e.g. Illustrator). 802 - Compose a photograph through the lens. 803 - Demonstrate use of lighting. 804 - Demonstrate ability to physically stabilize camera. Project Work for Week 20: Analog: Screen Printing projects & work on kirigami or pop-up card or multi-media poster project. Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful holiday break and are returning energized to start the new year. Over the break we had a wonderful donation to the program. Barb Gillander (my sister-in-law) donated a Cricut Explorer electronic cutter to our program. The machine is brand new and will open up all kinds of learning and creative opportunities. We will be working this into some projects in the next few weeks. Below is a video that showcases some of its capabilities. Competencies this week:
