This week we'll be working on completing multi-media for the QR Code sections of the yearbook. Videos are needed for the senior awards banquet and the yearbook dedication that took place last week. This task can be accomplished using a variety of tools. Either iPhoto or iMovie can be used to edit images/video together.
The photo and video assets are posted to our class server. Students will work in teams of two or three and create a finished video with an appropriate soundtrack. We'll be discussing copyright and creative commons as it applies to music and how to add sound credits that are necessary in most uses.
We will also be finishing up all screen printing projects for the year this week. This means completing senior and Chester County Girl Scout t-shirts that are in production.
Photography Project of the Week: Motion Photography
This week we'll be working on two types of motion photos. We will be attempting to freeze a moving object by practicing a technique called panning, and we'll be attempting to blur a moving object in another attempt.
Design Project of the Week: Color Psychology Poster
The Xante Color Laser Printer has finally been repaired so this week we'll be finishing up the type variations for our Color Psychology posters and then printing the final posters before weeks' end.
Lab Maintenance and Live Work
Allied Health T-shirts need to be finished and we're doing a community service screen printing job for the Chester County Girl Scouts this week. In addition to continuing our work on cleaning up and organizing the storage loft, we'll be doing inventory of our art supplies, computer accessories and bindery equipment.
I will be out today for a medical issue. Below are links to three different self-directed tutorial projects that you can choose to work on during today's class if you are caught up on the Sgt. Peppers project:
Sketchy Style Vectors Project
Mixed media portrait in Photoshop and Illustrator
Work with Illustrator's Envelope Distort effects

Notes to individuals in PM Class:
Max - thanks for taking pictures at tonight's prom. Don't forget to take the camera equipment (Canon T2i, two lenses, extra battery and photo transfer cord) with you before leaving today. Use the large camera bag and record what camera body you'll be using.
Group that worked on Allied Health T-shirts - if you wish to finish these shirts. The last group of shirts need to be printed in black ink. You will need to scrape and clean the white ink off of the screens and print the remaining shirts.
Nikki and Jerron - if there is room in the recycling bins we can continue to clean up the loft area. If anything is questionable - just leave it until Monday when I get back.
Mr. Tucker is in his 20th year as the instructor for the Graphic Arts program. Prior to his teaching career he worked in the flexography industry for ten years and in quick printing for ten years.
