Per the request of several students, we are going to revisit a project we did in the fall of 2012. You are going to be creating an accordian text book. This project could possibly use both Photoshop and Illustrator. Below are the objectives for this project:
First, I want to congratulate those of you that participated in Senior Portraits last week. The quality of the work combined with the technical and customer service skills that were in evidence last week were amazing. The resulting portraits are innovative, creative and reach a new level of excellence for our school. I'm very proud of the effort you put forth in this project. I can't wait for parents of our students to see the finished product. We have another three or four days left to complete the senior class and then we'll switch to portraits for new staff members and underclass school pictures. Keep up the great work!
This week we're going to begin working in Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is a vector drawing program. The program is used for creating logos, drawings and mathematically-based illustrations as well as working with specialty type treatments. It creates artwork differently than Photoshop which is a raster-based program.
We'll be working on a variety of projects in Adobe Illustrator including the following:
Mr. Tucker is in his 22nd year as the instructor for the Graphic Arts program. Prior to his teaching career he worked in the flexography industry for ten years and in quick printing for ten years.
