This week we will be working with templates to come up with designs in each of the following categories; art, music, action sports and local flavor. You will need to research what these categories are and how to display them graphically. We will have a local competition on paper and four students will then get an opportunity to build a team to create their designs on a pair of Vans. Below are the rules, faqs and templates that you will be using for this design project:Get to work - you will be doing one design for each category - you can work digitally or analog -but whatever design you create will need to be able to be created with markers, paints or some type of hand applied media. We will be following this checklist for this competition. We also will be finishing up portrait work this week and begin mapping out responsibilities for this year's yearbook. Midterm Exam: The midterm is available to be taken online. You can access the test by clicking on the link below:

I am still too dizzy to drive - I'm following doctor's orders and hope to be back by tomorrow. I have been doing some work while I've been out. I am looking at a different class management system called Google Classroom. I want to evaluate using Google Classroom with our class and I will need your input and assistance. I've set up our class and posted a few activities. Now I'm going to ask you to join the class and try working with the activities I've posted so far. You will need your Google Drive username and password to sign up for the class. Once you're logged onto Google Drive you can open a new tab and go to http://classroom.google.com. The class key is 5mh7u3f I have placed three different types of activities for you to work on today. Try to complete the SkillsUSA competition by end of class tomorrow. Post your opinions of Google Classroom on the announcement that was posted there. Is it easy to use? Is it clearer in what you're supposed to do? Let me know what you think in the announcement. One thing I like about Google Classroom is the ability for students to post to the page. Students can share videos, websites, images, and documents that are related to what we are working on at any given time. I will call in early during both class periods - 8:15 for the morning class and 12:15 for the afternoon class. If you can't recall your Google Drive username and password I will be able to give them to you during that call. Be well and create something awesome today. |
