Most of you are finished preliminary layouts for this year's edition of the Shield. The next step is going to be ensuring that the files that we have created will print correctly before submitting them to the yearbook publisher.
This will mean setting up InDesign's preflighting options. The concept of "preflighting" a document is borrowed from airline pilots who go through a series of checks to ensure a safe successful flight. Like those pilots, we can ensure that any publication will fly before being handed over to a printer.
This means going through a spell-check routine, checking file formats, file resolution and links availability.
The final stage of design will be our ads section and gathering together the credits information for the publication. Make sure that the information on the Google Docs planning document is correct and that design credit is accurate.
