I just discovered a student-centered site called Student Art Guide. Please explore their site and comment below on any good finds before Friday of this week. This week you will get some choices on the weekly project. We are doing a special drawing day this Friday - so make sure your project work is completed by Thursday. Below are some suggested projects for you to work on:
- Read the article Design Exercises To Get Your Creative Juices Flowing. There are three different types of creative projects for you to try. Choose one from each category and create finished works that you post on your journal.
- Music - artists love music and I've seen some great music-themed work from students in this class. For this project challenge you can follow any direction and use any media you choose. Create pencil sketch thumbnails before moving to creating your finished piece. You can create a dream instrument, combine instruments together, or maybe create a tour poster. Below are some images to give you some ideas.
- Zentangles - I've been revisiting zentangles recently - a project we did last year. Zentangles are organized pattern doodles. You can get all kinds of pattern ideas with a Google search. It might be interesting to combine this method with the music project. A sample of a zentangle is shown below.
